Feed live/frozen foods, they won't usually accept dried foods.
Breeding
They are substrate spawners. The female will lay up to 200 eggs in a cave that only she can fit in, and the male will guard outside of the cave. The eggs hatch after roughly 2 days and become free-swimming 8-10 days later.
Compatibility
Generally peaceful with fish too large to be eaten. Don't keep with aggressive/vigorous tankmates such as mbuna.
