Females can lay eggs from 100-150 depending on their maturity. Both the parents guards the eggs and the fry become free swimming after a week.

Can be kept with non-aggressive cichlids such as Julies, Shell-Dwellers, etc.

If kept properly, then they can live for 8-10 years. Males are generaly bigger than the females with pointed fins.
