They are omnivores. They will eat smaller fish, bugs, worms and plants. They will eat pellets, but feed them live or thawed foods as a supplement.
Breeding
After spawning, the male will place the eggs in a bubble nest and guard them until they hatch. Remove the females from the tank once the eggs are in the bubble nest.
Compatibility
They get along with other large and peaceful fish.
