Tank Setup
Provide a sandy substrate with piles of rocks arranged to form caves. They are fast swimmers, so make sure there is plenty of open swimming space.

Feed high quality cichlid pellets along with live/frozen foods such as brine shrimp, mysis and krill
Breeding
They are maternal mouthbrooders. The female will brood up to 130 eggs for roughly 3 weeks before releasing free-swimming fry.
Compatibility
They will eat small fish, do not keep with more boisterous species such as mbuna. Keep 2-3 females per male.
