They will accept most foods. Feed them a varied diet of high quality cichlid sticks or pellets, frozen/live foods such as earthworms and prawns, and vegetables such as peas and spinach.
Breeding
The male can be aggressive with the female during breeding, so a tank divider may be necessary.

It is reccomended that they are only kept with their own species.
