They are an open water species, so they require a lot of swimming space. They jump when excited, so make sure the aquarium is covered.

Diet
Feed small live/frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms and daphnia. They will also accept dried foods.
Breeding
They are maternal mouthbrooders. The female will carry the brood of 5-10 eggs for up to 4 weeks before releasing free swimming fry.
Compatibility
Keep in a groups of at least 8-10 fish. Don't keep with boisterous fish such as mbuna.
