Diet
Feed high quality cichlid pellets along with meaty foods such as lancefish, prawns, whitebait etc. Vegetables such as spinach, peas and blanched lettuce are beneficial.
Breeding
They are maternal mouthbrooders. A ratio of one male to 4 females is best.
Compatibility
They are generally peaceful with fish too large to be eaten, however two males may fight to death over territory.
