I also went to Lowe's and got some GE silicone 1 and some masking tape. I just got done removing some of the silicone. It is hard work, so I am taking a break.

Hopefully I will be done with removing the old silicone tomorrow. Once that is done, I will clean the tank and then apply the fresh silicone.

I removed some of the silicone on the bottom of the tank and I noticed an issue. It almost looks like some water is coming out of the bottom seam. The seam is what holds the tank together. The seal keeps the water in. Do you think the seams are bad? I hope not.

I had the tank on its side, so I think some wahet just got in that way. I am going to finish removing the silicone so I can reseal it.

I finished removing the silicone, but it has started to rain. I plan to bring the tank inside tomorrow and clean it and then reseal it. I am going to build a stand out of 2x4s for it.

I brought the tank inside. It snowed, so there is some snow in the bottom but that is melting now that it is inside.

The tank is dry now, so I am cleaning it out using isopropyl alcohol. Once that is done, I will be ready to apply silicone! :D

I was hoping to have had it done by now, but I ended up not having enough wood so I am going to have to stain some more.

I haven't had time to work on it. Hopefully I will be able to work on it this weekend along with getting the pond filter running.
