I had a spare AquaClear 50, so I decided to get it going on the 40 gallon tank that I had my haps in, since I'm planning on getting some more fish for it, and I can't get it to sit on the back of the aquarium. I think the aquarium brace is too wide, the filter doesn't sit completley over the brace. Should I try putting something under the filter? I guess I'm just worried about the stability of the filter, because one time I had an AquaClear 70 tilt back too far, and the water started spilling out of the back of the filter onto the floor.

Yeah I'd put something underneath it. My filters on my 20g also had a tiny amount of water spilling out the back of them and it was really annoying, so you should definitely fix this.

The AquaClear 50 isn't tilting back too far, but I'm worried that it will since it doesn't fit completley over the aquarium frame.
