I have a lionhead goldfish in my bottom 40 gallon goldfish that's bloated and swimming upside down. It looks like swim bladder disease, so I am going to try feeding skinned peas. I have a common goldfish in my pond that also has swim bladder disease that I probably have to euthanize, I hope I don't lose my lionhead too.

Try fasting the Lionhead for one day. Then on the next day feed him boiled deshelled peas. It must work.
    All the best.

I haven't fed the lionhead for a few days, I fed him some skinned peas today.

Next time de-skin the peas. It works best.:)

That is what I meant by skinned, I removed the skins on the peas.

I'm going to feed him some more peas tomorrow.

I decided not to feed him any more peas today, but I will feed him some soon. He is slightly less bloated.

Now he's looking more bloated :(. What should I do? His scales don't look quite like they are pineconed, but it almost looks like there is fluid around the scales themselves.

    I personally would euthanize.

So you don't think it will get any better? I have a fish in my pond that has a ruptured swim bladder that I have to euthanize too .

I got what I thought was clove oil, but I read on the back that it was actually clove extract. I was going to get some clove oil to euthanize him, but he died today .
