Tomorrow I plan to pick up a 75 gallon tank that needs resealing. What kind of silicone should I use? When I resealed my 20 gallon tank, I just used GE silicone 1. Should I just get some more of the GE silicone 1, or should I get adhesive silicone?

Doesn't matter so long as it is 100% silicone and does not include any additives, such as mold inhibitors. Let it cure for 3 days before filling up the tank....and then let it sit for a week to check for any leaks. If not, then drain tank and move to it's location and set up.

The GE silicone 1 has no additives. The GE silicone 2 has mold inhibitors and that is why I didn't use it for my 20. I have read in the past to use adhesive silicone if you are resealing a large rank. I guess my question is, is a 75 large enough to require adhesive silicone?
